Welcome to #CloseToNature, a group for people who love nature and getting close to it! This group will focus on "close-up" photographs of flowers, mushrooms, insects, animals, snowflakes, water drops, etc, and is for everyone, every kind of photographer: beginners, pros, amateurs, hobbyists, etc. Anyone who wishes to join is free to do so, just click the "join this group" button (found at the top of the page) and wait to be approved. Be sure to thoroughly read the rules/guidelines before joining and/or submitting art. Please be kind and polite to one another, follow the submission guidelines, share your art, make friends, and most importantly - enjoy this group! And if you're unsure about anything or have any questions, be sure to ask! This group is specifically for photography, be it digital or film. No heavily-edited photos, digital or traditional art will be accepted, sorry. As long as the rules are followed, I will accept any/all photos EXCEPT: landscapes, skyscapes, waterscapes. While this group is for nature photography, it focuses on being "close" to nature; such as getting down & dirty to get that flower or insect shot, or having the chance to be up-close-and-personal with a wild animal. Not shots of entire fields, sky, lakes, etc. Examples: A photo of a tree branch with leaves/ice or texture/bark would be accepted, but a photo of the entire tree (especially at a distance) would not be accepted. A photo of a single flower or a group of flowers where they take up almost the whole image would be accepted, but a photo of a field of flowers would not be accepted. A photo of a water droplet(s) on a flower, leaf, feathers, etc will be accepted, but a photo of a water droplet(s) on a non-nature object such as paper will not be accepted. There are many groups out there that do accept all kinds of nature photos, including landscape/scenery shots, we're just not one of them. Please check out our affiliates and you may find the kind of group you're looking for! |
